  • The initial dosage for kids (6 months to 13 years) is 12mg/kg of body weight. From the second day, the dose must be 6mg/kg of body weight, taken once a day.
  • Adults (more than age of 13 years old) must take 400mg on the first day, and from the next day onwards, the dosage will be 200mg/day.
  • The duration of the medication is usually 10-12 weeks.

✦ For candidiasis (oesophageal and/or oropharyngeal):

  • Children from the age of 6 months can take the drug.
  • Initial dosage for kids (6 months to 13 years) is 6mg/kg of body weight. From the second day, the dose must be 3mg/kg of body weight, taken once a day.
  • Adults (more than age of 13 years old) must take 200mg on the first day, and from the next day onwards, the dosage will be 100mg/day.
  • The duration of the medication is usually 3 weeks for oesophageal candidiasis and 2 weeks for oropharyngeal candidiasis.

✦ For other types of infections (vaginal, skin, or lung):

  • Children from the age of 30 weeks can take the drug.
  • Initial dosage for kids (30 weeks to 13 years) is 25mg/kg of body weight. From the second day, the dose must be 12mg/kg of body weight, taken once a day.
  • Adults (more than age of 13 years old) must take 400mg on the first day, and from the next day onwards, the dosage will be 100mg/day.
  • The duration of the medication is usually 3 weeks for children, and for adults, the duration must be decided by the doctor.

  • Preventing candidiasis at the time of bone marrow transplantation – 400mg/day.
  • Urinary tract infection: 50-200mg/day.
  • For vaginal candidiasis: 150mg/day.
